Frequently Asked Questions FAQS

The Breakthrough

This new healing approach is based upon a breakthrough in understanding how to treat diseases using holistic principles and practices to heal diseases directly.

This is by stimulating our self healing to act successfully to resolve the disease on all levels: spiritually, mentally, emotionally and physically so that the disease purpose is fulfilled and the stuck energy resolved.

The breakthrough is documented in the book The Second Simillimum by Peter Chappell, who made this breakthrough treating AIDS in Africa.

This breakthrough was in fact foretold two centuries before by Dr Samuel Hahnemann in his treatise on Homeopathy and was the main way homeopathy sprang to world wide use and attention in the 19th Century, by its huge, outstanding successes in treating deadly epidemic diseases. These were written loud in newspaper headlines and in governments. Since then, till now, this idea has been neglected and underused.

These FAQs are split into two sections: Principles and Philosophy and Practical

Practical

Principles & Philosophy

Practical

Are there any special precautions in use?

Not commonly in simple, early stage cases. All the normal rules of case management apply.

Why is there no potency?

In Peter Chappell's experience, repetition can achieve everything potency does.

How does Peter Chappell make these resonances?

He creates a holistic mirror energy/information set to the disease using a special process he does not yet disclose.

Can these resonances be cancelled by postal, x-ray or other electromagnetic fields?

No.

Definitions of Disease in Medical References

It should be noted that physicians, once they have a new diagnostic label, tend to dump into it cases that do not fit for the want of another bin to place the patient in, so after a while diseases expand to meaningless terms unless there are specific tests, autism is a classic example. Also, diseases are evolving forms of consciousness as well, and as society evolves, so do diseases.

Where do I find a Homeopath?

In the USA:

For Europe:

For the UK:

For the world:

Also try local health food stores, homeopathic pharmacies, conventional pharmacies that sell homeopathic medicines, health and medical professionals, alternative newspapers and magazines, the yellow pages, or use the Internet or, best of all, ask your friends.

Why are there different remedies for the public and for homoeopaths?

There are number of reasons. In some countries like the UK is illegal to in any way advertise treatments for cancer. This is an archaic law and most sections of it have been repealed and effectively it acts as suppression of all other treatments of cancer other than that offered of by the medical profession and the pharmaceutical companies. As such it is the gag and a breach of human rights but nonetheless it exists as a law. So for information about ant possible resonances for cancer you must go to a registered medical practitioner such as a homoeopath.

Another reason is that in serious pathologies you really do need a homoeopath or other person is similarly equipped who can support the recovery process and while you may realise this is a sensible restriction there are people who want to treat themselves with very serious pathology and then ask us advice which we cannot give.

We think we should be permitted to show you the complete list of resonances are so that you know that your homoeopath can use them to help you. And very soon we will show you the complete list with the exception of diseases we know are restricted by law.

What is the philosophic basis and source of this Second Simillimum approach?

Aphorisms 101 to 104 and 148 in the Organon by Samuel Hahnemann (written over two centuries ago).

Aphorism 148

The natural disease is one produced by an inimical spirit-like agency [sum of microbial vital force bodies or miasmatic load] which, like a kind of infection disturbs the spirit-like principle of life [human vital force] within the [human host] organism torturing it and compelling it to produce certain ailments and disorders in the regular course of its life. These are known as symptoms (disease). If, now, the influence of this inimical agency that not only caused but strives to continue this disorder, be taken away as is done when the physician administers an artificial potency, capable of altering the life principle in the most similar manner (a homeopathic medicine) which exceeds in energy even in the smallest dose the similar natural disease then the influence of the original noxious morbid agent on the life principle is lost during the action of this stronger similar artificial disease. Thence the [morbid agent] no longer exists for the life principle - it is destroyed. Health, recovery, follow in imperceptible, often rapid transitions. The life principle is freed again and capable of resuming the life of the organism in health as before and strength returns. [comments]=Added for continuity and simplification.

Organon 101 (Dudgeon translation):

It may easily happen that in the first case of an epidemic disease that presents itself to the physician notices he does not at once obtain a knowledge of its complete picture, as it is only by a close observation of several cases of every such collective disease that he can become conversant with the totality of its signs and symptoms. The carefully observing physician can, however, from the examination of even the first and second patients, often arrive so nearly at a knowledge of the true state as to have in his mind a characteristic portrait of it, and even to succeed in finding a suitable, homeopathically adapted remedy for it.

§102

In the course of writing down the symptoms of several cases of this kind the sketch of the disease picture becomes ever more and more complete, not more spun out and verbose, but more significant (more characteristic), and including more of the peculiarities of this collective disease; on the one hand, the general symptoms (e.g., loss of appetite, sleeplessness, etc.) become precisely defined as to their peculiarities; and on the other, the more marked and special symptoms which are peculiar to but few diseases and of rarer occurrence, at least in the same combination, become prominent and constitute what is characteristic of this malady.1 All those affected with the disease prevailing at a given time have certainly contracted it from one and the same source and hence are suffering from the same disease; but the whole extent of such an epidemic disease and the totality of its symptoms (the knowledge whereof, which is essential for enabling us to choose the most suitable homoeopathic remedy for this array of symptoms, is obtained by a complete survey of the morbid picture) cannot be learned from one single patient, but is only to be perfectly deduced (abstracted) and ascertained from the sufferings of several patients of different constitutions.

§103

In the same manner as has here been taught relative to the epidemic disease, which are generally of an acute character, the miasmatic chronic maladies, which, as I have shown, always remain the same in their essential nature, especially the psora, must be investigated, as to the whole sphere of their symptoms, in a much more minute manner than has ever been done before, for in them also one patient only exhibits a portion of their symptoms, a second, a third, and so on, present some other symptoms, which also are but a (dissevered, as it were), portion of the totality of the symptoms which constitute the entire extent of this malady, so that the whole array of the symptoms belonging to such a miasmatic, chronic disease, and especially to the psora, can only be ascertained from the observation of very many single patients affected with such a chronic disease, and without a complete survey and collective picture of these symptoms the medicines capable of curing the whole malady homoeopathically (to wit, the antipsorics) cannot be discovered; and these medicines are, at the same time, the true resonance of the several patients suffering from such chronic affections.

§104

When the totality of the symptoms that specially mark and distinguish the case of disease or, in other words, when the picture of the disease, whatever be its kind, is once accurately sketched,1 the most difficult part of the task is accomplished. The physician has then the picture of the disease, especially if it be a chronic one, always before him to guide him in his treatment; he can investigate it in all its parts and can pick out the characteristic symptoms, in order to oppose to these, that is to say, to the whole malady itself, a very similar artificial morbific force, in the shape of a homoeopathically chosen medicinal substance, selected from the lists of symptoms of all the medicines whose pure effects have been ascertained. And when, during the treatment, he wishes to ascertain what has been the effect of the medicine, and what change has taken place in the patient's state, at this fresh examination of the patient he only needs to strike out of the list of the symptoms noted down at the first visit those that have become ameliorated, to mark what still remain, and add any new symptoms that may have supervened.

Here is an Introduction by David Little, a prominent homeopathic philosophy expert, (edited) to Greg Bedayn's As if One Patient article:

"As if One Patient is a serious review of the implications of Hahnemann's introduction of the 'remedy epidemicus'. Unknown to many modern homoeopaths, Hahnemann developed two fundamental case analysis strategies, one for the individual constitution which is uniquely affected (Org. §153) and the other for diseases on common cause and similar symptoms which affects a homogeneous group (Org. §101, 102). The theoretical foundation for this is found in the very first sentence of the Introduction of the Organon of the Healing Art: "As long as humanity has existed, people have been exposed, individually or collectively, to illnesses from physical or moral causes."

We have created three new terms within the Second Similimum concept as there are three separate categories, not two as stated above.

Genus morbus epidemicus has an extensive history in homeopathic medicine. The homeopathic periodical literature of 1799-1945 is filled with successes with one-remedy epidemics of high mortality diseases: Cholera, Smallpox, Yellow fever, Diptheria, Polio, and others.

Why is trauma included here?

Peter Chappell has created this latter term to cover the effects of trauma, which he considers as a hidden phenomena and an inherited phenomena, another type of miasm, which is well supported by modern psychology.

These are for the after effects of natural catastrophes, genocide, war, torture, incest, birth, adoption, fire and many other traumas.

They solve a lot of issues we might call personal but are in fact inherited stories we believe in our mind/body/ego to be true. I call these trauma miasms. These are, I suggest, the reason for many of the fears and phobias and the deepest delusions and sensations in mankind and therefore the repertory entry. It is not a personal thing, it is an inherited piece of unfinished business, (junk DNA?).

The theory and experience deriving from emotional trauma has been well documented by Bert Hellinger and in many other books on trauma.

The results are sometimes remarkable.

Just for example:

A man was traumatised by the tsunami and had flashbacks and remained in bad trauma. Classical homeopathy did not help.

He took PC Natural Catastrophe Trauma, had a dream that night of being in an arena with gladiators back in Roman Times and next day was better. It is easy to imagine from this dream what was re-stimulated by the tsunami and why he stayed traumatised by it.

Didn't Kent vigorously WARN about the use of "named disease" indications in Homeopathy?

Yes. His warning was correctly designed to train students away from routinism and classified disease thinking in patient-specific prescribing. But at the same time he used the second similimum method to treat epidemics, without fully realizing that was a process of finding a remedy for a named disease and not a person.

Now, with a technology available to tailor resonances to a symptom totality, there is a way to use diagnosed disease totalities that was not available a century ago.

Admonitions for patient-specific prescribing do not apply to resonances specific to named diseases. They extend the law of similars healing and take nothing away from classical homeopathy but in fact add another dimension to classical homeopathy.

What is the potential of these new resonances in prophylaxis?

In 1891, the IHA, the organization of the most Hahnemannian practitioners that ever lived (Saine 1988), reported that the genius epidemicus was the best remedy and prophylactic for an epidemic of malignant diphtheria which caused suffocation in 24-36 hours.

Even P.P. Wells, the most conservative of homeopaths, stated:

"the most similar remedy is both the cure and the prophylactic of disease." (Saine, 1988)

The results in epidemics of high mortality diseases: smallpox, yellow fever, diphtheria, cholera, and so on using the genius epidemicus in patients of classical practices was in some cases infallible.

Since the PC resonances use the same method as the genius epidemicus to generate the totality used in the resonances, their use in prophylaxis has great potential.

Has disease prescribing been used before?

There is a situation of lesional prescribing on the pattern of the disease itself. This is not new to homeopathy - Hahnemann did it; Boenninghausen did it; Hering did it. In modern times using different strategies: Eizayaga did it; Parimal Banerji does it; A.U. Ramakrishnan does it. These are just a few examples. Thousands of practitioners worldwide treat dissimilar disease layers.

Is the nosode of a disease a disease-specific remedy?

No. Nosodes do not treat the acute diseases they are derived from. If they did, we would get much better results with them.

We know that potentised gonorrhoea does not treat gonorrhoea effectively. Active tuberculosis is not routinely cured by Tuberculinum. Syphilinum is ineffective against syphilis and so on down the list of nosodes.

Can these new resonances be used to treat miasms?

Yes, they are intended to treat the totality of the epidemic disease, the basis of miasms, and are the only resonances that do this.

They are very effective in treating the acute diseases and the latent miasmic effects.

How many miasms exist?

There are as many miasms as there are epidemic diseases based upon micro-organisms.

Gonorrhoea, syphilis, tuberculosis, malaria, leprosy, typhoid, rabies, polio, scabies, cancer, AIDS, to name a few - are epidemic diseases with chronic effects which we can usually recognise as present in a case just from symptoms.

The following is a selection from among hundreds of other micro-organisms, of miasms that must exist:

Anthrax, chlamydia, human papilloma virus, influenza, herpes, mononucleosis, cytomegalovirus, yellow fever, dengue fever, hepatitis, diphtheria, brucellosis, listeriosis, cholera, botulism, tetanus, lyme and other tickborne diseases, bubonic plague, smallpox, giardiasis, cryptosporidiosis, threadworm, ascarisis, hookworm, schistosomiasis, salmonella, toxoplasmosis, tapeworm, measles, mumps, chicken pox, rubella, mycoplasma, etc.

Of these, we know less about the chronic effects and have difficulty with definitive categorization that helps us much in a case. Some people class them all as "psora", meaning "that which we don't know".

Are the Chappell PC resonances "HOMEOPATHIC"?

Peter Chappell does not claim his resonances are homeopathic as this is not a definable thing and the criteria for inclusion have not been concluded, if such a thing were possible.

PC resonances based upon resonance certainly act like homeopathic remedies in all ways investigated and observed, and not otherwise, but this is not proof.

In some ways at times they seem superior in action. They might be then be super-homeopathic!

What is sure is that homeopathic remedy technology will change, but the basic principles of homeopathy will not. The remedy technology is not a fixity as is like cures like, a law of nature, resonance.

Are there any provings of PC Resonances

PC Cancer (general) has been proved and it looks very conclusive that it targets cancer, likewise PC for AIDS. And this miasmic effect has been demonstrated.

See testimonials for the "cure".

Prover:

"Normally during my state I get a lot of dreams of police, especially traffic police catching me for making a mistake!"

Another part of the proving:

In this week I had two dreams of police that is my normal state, but other two dreams too. I am outside at a hospital. The trustee of the hospital (who in real life is very stern, dominating, perfectionist, faultfinding, fastidious, clean, faultless, and rigid) is sitting there on a bench and smiling. His demeanour is very mild and friendly. He is sitting there with a huge sub-mandibular swelling waiting for his turn for a sonographic investigation. In the dream I feel this swelling is cancer.

How does resonance work?

Resonance is an ancient principle of healing, it is like gravity, a natural law that has always existed. Modern quantum physics is confirming this.

Resonance is an ancient healing principle, used by wild animals in self selecting beneficial herbs and minerals that help them heal, which was later adopted by the early traditional healers based upon observing animals, all over the world. And is still used by traditional healers world wide, and in some cases it has been well developed and refined to a specific healing form.

The use of Resonance for stimulating self-healing is then effectively a billion years old, and resonance is really a healing law of this universe, just like gravity is a mechanical law.

Our self healing (our total spirit/mind/body defence against illness) for a specific illness or disease is boosted by resonance; it amplifies the defensive response, just as striking middle C sets off other C chords. Resonance that mobilises healing is, however, a multidimensional complexity, a whole orchestra playing, not just a single string resonating with another.

A particularly brilliant form of person-centred self-healing with resonances is homeopathy. This new approach fills in the gaps left by person-centred therapies which normally focus on the person holistically, but not the disease. These resonances focus holistically on the disease.

Is this the same as Rife Royal, Hilda Clark and zappers?

No. These are based on resonance but only upon a simple, one dimensional resonance, often used like an electronic antibiotic, to kill a germ.

There is no holistic resonance in this approach nor guiding holistic principles of cure. But it can be a very good system of healing in the right hands. Zappers are often very operator dependant.

Is resonance found in other forms of healing and in other places?

Simple resonances was the basis of some of Nikola Tesla (1856 - 1943) work - the Master of Simple Resonance.

The use of resonance in diagnostics - all magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) machines widely used in medicine are derived from Nikola Tesla's work.

There are many uses of resonance. In fact, you can say that if you look closely, resonance is to be found in all walks of life; in spirituality, in sports, in psychology, and everywhere in engineering and physics etc.

Another living example of resonance is an extraordinary inventor concerned with creating an alternative energy supply. He said this:

My approach is to get the hydrogen atoms and the oxygen atom that make up the water molecule to disassociate from each other, on a sub-atomic level, using resonance. This means that the bond between the two types of atom is then nowhere near as strong. It therefore follows that it then requires a much smaller amount of energy to finally separate them. http://www.starscientific.com.au

Another example is from Christine Page who writes about it resonance, quoting David Holmes:

An interesting feature of the heart is that every cell is independent and yet can greatly influence any other heart cell in its presence. Hence, we know that if one heart cell is in disharmony and you place next to it one which is healthy, the sick cell will be entrained (resonated) back into health. What is even more amazing, is that if there are two sick cells, both of which are out of harmony and they are brought close together then at some point their closeness will bring each back into harmony. This is the power of a loving relationship.

Another example is from David Holmes who writes this in The Bioluminescent Brain:

This new theory of consciousness was born from the insight that a class of neurons in the brain may actually be functioning in the same manner as the colored pixels (tiny phosphorescent dots) on a television screen. Their firings produce tiny electromagnetic bursts of inwardly visible "light" of various "colors." The summation of all of the quantum electromagnetic waveforms of this inner light is experienced as the spiritual "Light of consciousness." These presentation neurons are the conduit between the body (composed of matter) and the mind (composed of energy and Light).
Presentation neurons can be arranged in circular rings, one firing into the next, like colored lights around a theatre marquee. Since the constituent neurons can be made to fire at predictable rates, these rings behave like simple oscillators or resonators. Paired rings of various sizes are able to resonate and display simple ratios. In musical terms, for example, a ring of five neurons with a ring of six neurons forms a pitch ratio of 6:5 and can resonate and therefore present to consciousness an interval of a minor third. The neural resonance chamber can be compared to a violin - one that produces and resonates tremendously complex patterns of Light. The brain serves as an aesthetic device by means of which consciousness determines what is pleasing (desirable) and displeasing (undesirable).
